KVK Bishnupur has significantly contributed to improving farm productivity, sustainability, and income diversification across Bishnupur district:

• Enhanced Productivity & Profitability: FLDs and OFTs have resulted in yield improvements up to 30%, with integrated crop–livestock–fishery systems providing higher returns and risk resilience.
• Fisheries Development: Introduction of AMUR carp and Jayanti Rohu, and establishment of feed production units, have improved growth and survival rates, boosting farmer profitability.
• Soil Health & Organic Farming: Large-scale adoption of vermicomposting and enriched compost for sustainable soil fertility management.
• Youth & Women Empowerment: Over 1,200 beneficiaries trained annually; multiple success stories of unemployed youth transforming into successful entrepreneurs through scientific farming.
• Model Success Stories (2024):
  • Vegetable Farming as Livelihood Security: Shri Thongam Rabichand earned ₹3.5 lakh annually after adopting scientific vegetable cultivation with KVK support.
  • Yard Long Bean (Arka Mangala): Shri Chongtham Khogendro Singh achieved ₹59,720 net return in 4 months, inspiring area expansion among farmers.
• Technology Adoption: Promotion of IPM practices reduced pest incidence in maize and pea by up to 70%.
• Community Outreach: Through workshops, melas, and campaigns, KVK Bishnupur continues to strengthen farmer–scientist linkages and promote climate-smart, sustainable agriculture in the Loktak Lake region.
